Martha Bonta
Executive and Artistic Director
Martha Bonta’s varied career in classical music has spanned artist management, presenting, producing, and media. She has held leadership positions at several NYC-based artist management firms representing world-class conductors, instrumentalists, ensembles, and vocalists. She has also served as executive producer of live events at WQXR, New York’s classical radio station, where she oversaw live broadcasts and curated and produced events. Martha was director of artistic planning and touring at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and has held positions at the New York Philharmonic and the Marlboro Music Festival. She holds a B.A. in English literature from Yale University.
Akari Ogawa
Director of Operations
Akari Ogawa is Chamber Music Pittsburgh’s Director of Operations and an accomplished flutist. Previously, she served as the Operations Coordinator of Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra. In addition to her freelancing work as a flutist, Akari has performed at National Flute Association Conventions in Chicago, Phoenix, and the Mid-Atlantic Flute Festival in Washington, D.C. A native of Japan, Akari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Furman University, a Master’s degree from Chicago College of Performing Arts, and an Artist Diploma from Duquesne University, from which she also holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and is pursuing an MBA.
Harmony Sheftall
Marketing Intern
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Harmony relocated to Pittsburgh in 2022 to pursue a B.A. in Public Relations, Advertising, and Social Media in the Honors Program at Point Park University. In her previous role as Social Media Assistant at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, she discovered her passion for arts and entertainment and began immersing herself in Pittsburgh’s vibrant arts community. Currently, Harmony is complimenting her studies with a minor in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management, while also maintaining various on-campus Student Leadership roles. She is on track to graduate in Spring 2026.
